This song was recorded in the waning days of 2019, well before the band had decided to record another six or seven songs and make a proper LP. We did the final sessions for basics a few days ago (June 23rd, 2025) and its been a little tough to wrap my mind around. It was the third “final” session, I think, but nevertheless…
I’m really excited to hear how this album comes out. It’s a rare state to be in after listening to the same songs so many times, and especially since we began playing some of these as far back as 2012. This record is pretty much a middle schooler.
