What a fun band. I had met Dean as a teenager, playing in a power-pop group called “The Goodnight Process”. We went our separate ways and fifteen years later happened to reunite in a Prince tribute he had been running called “Dean Four & The Beautiful Ones”. Tough to go wrong with Prince.
This video was taken at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 7th, 2023. If you happen to be a New York City resident, you may remember this as the day that the entire city was blanketed with smoke from a series of massive wildfires in Canada. We flew home the next day into a city that looked something like an open-world video game circa 2003, with barely any pedestrians and the draw distance turned all the way down.
